Neon Tower
A downloadable game for Windows
Neon Tower is an idle-leaning tower defense about a single tower holding out against an endless swarm of geometric enemies.
Every wave hits harder. Kills earn cash, which you spend mid-run on damage, attack speed, range, health, regen and income. When the tower finally falls, you keep the coins you earned and spend them on permanent upgrades, so the next run goes further.
What's in this build
- Runs: endless waves, a live upgrade panel, and speed controls (pause, 1× and 1.5× from the start, more unlocked through research).
- Workshop: permanent upgrades bought with coins, plus one-off unlocks that add Range, Regen and income upgrades to your runs.
- Labs: 21 researches across Attack, Defense and Utility. Unlocks are instant: shields, thorns, lifesteal, multishot, chain arcs, a gravity well, interest, wave skips and more. Boost research keeps ticking in real time while you're away.
- Stats and tiers: track your best waves, then push to harder tiers for bigger coin rewards.
- Enemies: drones every wave, plus fast, tank, ranged and swarmer enemies at random, and a boss every 5th wave. The ENEMIES page details each one.
- Sound: effects and a synthwave soundtrack, with master, music and effects volume.
- Settings: UI zoom (80–150%) and volume.
This is an early playtest build
Expect rough edges and unfinished balance. Every research now works, but none of the new numbers are tuned yet. Progress may be wiped between test builds.
What I'd love to hear
- How far you got (best wave and tier), and roughly how long you played.
- When it felt slow, grindy or too easy.
- Anything confusing, or any upgrade that felt useless.
- Any crash or bug. Please attach your log file (see below).
Send feedback on the community board below, or in a comment on the latest devlog.
